Vahid Matejkos Klezmer Play-Alongs for Violine

(Including audio CD with violin part recorded by Prof. Igor Epstein, as well as handmade playbacks, recorded live with a band to play along with yourself).

Vahid Mateiko is one of the few composers who knows how to recreate klezmer music in his own very modern and extraordinary way, in order to make it accessible to a wider audience. The very interesting mixture, with strong influences from Romanian, Russian, Ukrainian, Bulgarian, Greek, Turkish and Oriental music, cannot be ignored. Vahid bridges the gap between all these cultures and makes “his” klezmer music the world music of the soul. His music laughs and cries, complains and dances, and sometimes you have the feeling that you are first in one place in the world, then in another and sometimes you think you have united all the places in the world in one of your melodies.
